February 2: Westhuizen Duo Guest Artist recital at First Presbytarian Church in Findlay, OH. Works by Brahms, Piazolla, and Ravel.

February 12: Westhuizen Duo Guest Artist recital at St. Mary's College, Indiana.

March 1: Trio Faculty Artist recital at Heidelberg College, Pierre, Beth Marshal (cello) and Ioana Galu (violin). Trios by Mozart, Turina, and Shostakovich.

March 2: Trio Guest Artist recital (Pierre, Beth Marshal, Ioana Galu) at the Jackson Symphony Orchestra Hall, Michigan.

March 30: Sophia and Beth Marshal Guest Artist Recital at Terra Technical College, 4pm (Hayes United Methodist Church). Works for piano and cello by Brahms and Prokofiev.

April 1: Sophia and Beth Marshal Faculty Artist Recital at Heidelberg College, 8:15pm. Same program.

April 3: Sophia, Beth Marshal and Barb Specht, Guest Artist trio recital at Owens College.

April 11 - 13: Heidelberg New Music Festival.

                             Sophia: New Works for piano by Mark Olivieri

April 14: Pierre and soprano Deborah Norin-Kuehn. Guest Artist Recital at St. Mary's College, Indiana. Works by Ravel, Wolf, and Ives.

April 20: Westhuizen Duo: duet recital in Bucyrus, OH.

April 23: Westhuizen Duo performs live on NPR and PBS, for the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series, at the Cultural Center of Chicago. www.imf.org

April 25: Faculty Artist Concerto Concert: Westhuizen Duo performs Mozart's Concerto in E-flat Major for Two Pianos, K. 365, with the Heidelberg Orchestra.

May 4: Westhuizen Duo: Guest Artist duet recital at Terra Technical College's Artist Series, 4pm. Duets for piano four hands by Rachmaninoff, Husa, and Corgliano.

May 19 - 30: Westhuizen Duo tours Romania with violinist Ioana Galu. Recitals in Cluj and Bistrita. Works by Amy Beach and Beethoven.

July 9 - 11:  Recitals by the Westhuizen Duo, as Featured Artists at the Volksblad National Arts Festival in Blomefontein, South Africa. Works by composers from the Americas, such as Bolcom, Piazolla, Husa, Corigliano and Frederick Rzewski. www.volksblad.co.za

July 29: Westhuizen Duo Guest Artist recital at the University of the Northwest, Potchefstroom (South Africa). Works by Corgliano, Bolcom, Rzewski, Husa and Piazolla.

September 21: Westhuizen Duo Guest Artist recital at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Pickerington, OH.

September 25 - 29: Guest Presenters at the 2008 College Music Society National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Lecture-recital by Sophia: "The Life and Death of the Piano Waltz", followed by Westhuizen Duo performing Ravel's "La Valse" for two pianos.


October 23- 30: Heidelberg Keyboard Festival. Westhuizen Duo performs works by Rachmaninoff and Saint-Saens. Masterclasses for high school students presented throughout the week.


2007:

January 26-28: Piano@Heidelberg, Heidelberg College's Piano Festival. Masterclasses and recitals given by Westhuizen Duo, January 27.

February 11: Sophia and violinist Ioana Galu, recital at Terra College, Fremont (Ohio)

Febuary 23 - 25: Pierre conducts the Firelands Symphony (Ohio).
